Collection: H.Upmann
Herman Upmann, a German banker, developed a passion for Habanos as soon as he arrived in Havana in 1840. Such was his passion that, in addition to his bank, he set up his own cigar factory in 1844. Although his bank went bankrupt in the early 1920s, his cigars, which bear witness to the aromatic elegance of medium-bodied Haqbanos, are still going strong.
Over the course of the 19th century, the brand won no fewer than eleven gold medals at various international events. Copies of these medals - along with Herman Upmann's personal signature - still decorate the tins.
The Magnum line is well known in the medium-sweet Habanos range. In 2008, the traditional Magnum 46 was joined by the Magnum 50. Other important vitolas within the brand are Sir Winston, Connoisseur N°1 and, among the smaller vitolas, Coronas Junior and Half Coronas, launched in 2011.
The H.Upmann range consists exclusively of “Totalmente a Mano” vitolas.
