In the Vuelta Abajo region, vegueros (tobacco growers) traditionally make their own cigars.
And anyone visiting this region of the Pinar del Rio province would want to taste these cigars made in the very places where the world's best tobacco grows.
And so, in 1996, a brand named Vegueros was launched, a tribute to the countless generations of growers in the Pinar del Rio region who devote their lives to tobacco.
