In 1882, Antonio Allones, on the strength of his 30 years' experience in the Habano industry, created a new brand which he decided to specialise in top-of-the-range, expensive, high-quality Habanos. Self-confident and ignoring false modesty, he named it El Rey del Mundo (The King of the World). His challenge proved to be a winning one. Its success continues thanks to a well-chosen range of vitolas, justly renowned by connoisseurs for their moderate strength and rich aroma. All the brand's vitolas are made from tobaccos grown in the Vuelta Abajo region and are Totalmente a Mano , Tripa Larga (entirely handmade, long filler).
