Shipping policy

Shipping and Delivery

We do not ship Cuban cigars, nor any other cigars, to the United States of America (including its territories and jurisdictions), the United Kingdom, or the Netherlands.

A minimum order amount of CHF 100 is required.

Switzerland

  • Free shipping on orders of CHF 100 or more
  • Estimated delivery time: 1 to 3 swiss working days

Europe

  • Flat shipping fee: CHF 25
  • Estimated delivery time: 3 to 5 swiss working days

International (outside Europe and the United States)

  • Flat shipping fee: CHF 35
  • Estimated delivery time: 5 to 15 swiss working days

Delivery times are indicative only and do not constitute a contractual guarantee.

Cigar VIU shall not be held responsible for:

  • customs-related delays;
  • import restrictions;
  • additional taxes;
  • or delays caused by international carriers.

If a parcel is returned due to refusal or failure to collect by the customer, reshipping costs will be fully borne by the customer (see Article 9).

No deliveries are made on weekends or Swiss public holidays.

Once the order has been handed over to the carrier, it becomes the property of the customer. We are not responsible for any damage that may occur during transport.

Customs Duties and International Regulations

The customer is solely responsible for the payment of all customs duties, VAT, excise duties, import taxes, clearance fees, and any other charges imposed by the authorities of the destination country.

The customer is responsible for obtaining information from the competent authorities regarding applicable regulations, restrictions, quantity limits, and taxes related to the importation of tobacco products.

Cigar VIU is under no obligation to inform customers of the legal or customs requirements applicable in the destination country and shall not be held liable in the event of:

  • refusal of importation;

  • seizure or destruction of goods by customs authorities;

  • delivery delays related to customs procedures;

  • additional taxes or penalties;

  • or any other consequence resulting from non-compliance with local regulations by the customer.
