Brand Story
The current Tobermory Distillery, located in an idyllic location on the Hebridean island, is the only distillery on the Isle of Mull and one of the oldest commercial distilleries in Scotland. It was founded in 1798 by John Sinclair as the Ledaig Distillery (pronounced led-chigg; Gaelic for "refuge"). Tobermory's past is as colorful as the town's waterfront. A turbulent history marked by closures and financial difficulties. Since 1993, the precious gem has flourished again within Burn Stewart Distillers and award-winning single malt Scotch whiskeys have matured in the listed warehouses.
