Brand Story 

Saint Luis Rey was created on the eve of the Second World War. Some claim that the brand owes its name to Thornton Wilder's play ‘The Bridge of San Luis Rey’. However, it is far more likely that the name refers to the town of San Luis, in the heart of the ‘Vuelta Abajo’ region, which is particularly famous for the quality of its cape leaves.

Whatever the case, Habanos de San Luis Rey enjoy an undisputed reputation among connoisseurs, who are seduced by the fullness of its aromas. Its ligada (blend) is made from leaves grown in the ‘Vuelta Abajo’ and ‘Semi Vuelta’ regions.

Product Detail

When lit, the Regios develops a strong aroma of coffee and cedar wood. The draw is precise and produces a good volume of smoke. The taste is dominated by earthy notes of cinnamon, nutmeg and light spices, which combine harmoniously. As the smoke progresses, creamy tones and white pepper emerge, completing the complex flavour profile. The medium to strong Saint Luis Rey Regios is suitable for both experienced aficionados and beginners looking for a multi-faceted smoking experience.
