The tragedy of the lovers of Verona, written by William Shakespeare, was to inspire the name, Romeo y Julieta, of this brand of Habanos created in 1875.

Winston Churchill was one of Romeo y Julieta's most ardent devotees. During his visit to Havana in 1946, his name was not only the subject of a commemorative ring, but was also attributed to one of the brand's most famous models, the Churchill.Trinidad is one of the most prestigious brands of Habanos. The Romeo y Julieta Wide Churchill was presented at the Habano Festival in 2010 and is one of the latest additions to the Romeo y Julieta range. This wonderful cigar combines the original Julieta No 2 from the 1950s and the Short Churchill, released in 2006. Despite a circumference of 55, the Romeo y Julieta Wide Churchill has a pleasant sweetness and a high-quality aroma. These aromas are described as nutty, spicy and overall very pleasant.Launched in 2004 and retired after eight years, this vitola left a lasting mark on cigar lovers. In 2024, Habanos S.A. revived it for the Trinidad brand’s 55th anniversary during the Habanos World Days in London. Presented in elegant boxes of three, the cigars feature three bands, including a commemorative anniversary band and the iconic “T” foot band. The medium-bodied Robusto Extra measures 6 1/8” by 50 ring gauge, with a signature pigtail cap. Hand-rolled with select Vuelta Abajo leaves, it preserves the classic, aromatic character of the original.
