The tragedy of the lovers of Verona, written by William Shakespeare, was to inspire the name, Romeo y Julieta, of this brand of Habanos created in 1875.
Over the years, the brand has established itself as one of the best-known and best-loved Habanos. This reputation is largely due to the legendary "Churchill" vitola.
Winston Churchill was one of Romeo y Julieta's most ardent devotees. During his visit to Havana in 1946, his name was not only the subject of a commemorative ring, but was also attributed to one of the brand's most famous models, the Churchill.

The Romeo y Julieta Regalias de Londres is a pretty small format that has a lot to offer. The start of the fresh cigar tastes decidedly spicy and equally sweet. An earthy flavour is established as the basic aroma, which is complemented by nutty and minty-fresh notes. As the smoke progresses, it loses some of its spiciness and becomes sweeter. The name Regalias de Londres means something like The Sovereign Right of London and comes from a different era. It's nice that this little Havana has survived to this day.
