Winston Churchill was one of Romeo y Julieta's most ardent devotees. It is perfectly crafted and a masterpiece of cigar making that has been produced by Romeo y Julieta without interruption since 1947. The strength and volume are quite extensive, as is to be expected from a stately cigar. The enjoyment begins somewhat cautiously, but after a short sweetish phase in the middle third, the full flavour structure of the Churchill comes to light. The cigar should not be smoked too young.Launched in 2004 and retired after eight years, this vitola left a lasting mark on cigar lovers. In 2024, Habanos S.A. revived it for the Trinidad brand’s 55th anniversary during the Habanos World Days in London. Presented in elegant boxes of three, the cigars feature three bands, including a commemorative anniversary band and the iconic “T” foot band. The medium-bodied Robusto Extra measures 6 1/8” by 50 ring gauge, with a signature pigtail cap. Hand-rolled with select Vuelta Abajo leaves, it preserves the classic, aromatic character of the original.
