Brand Story

The brand was created in the 1930s. On the outside of the lids of its tins is a very curious text, written in English. This text states that the Habanos in the tin should be smoked within a month of being shipped from the port of Havana (at the time Habanos travelled by sea), otherwise it was preferable to leave them to age carefully for a year.
Its vitolas, made from leaves grown in the Vuelta Abajo region, are characterised by their lightness.

The Rafael Gonzalez Panetelas Extra is a hidden gem, a medium-short Panetela, 5' (127mm) long, 36 gauge. This cigar has been around since the 1930s and, like Rafael Gonzalez's other cigars, is very smooth and velvety, using only tobacco from the Vuelta Abajo region. Medium-bodied, it delivers sweet aromas of chocolate, coffee and surprising tobacco. There are also notes of almond, earth, wood, bread and some floral characteristics. Its astonishing construction allows for excellent draw throughout the cigar and a memorable experience.
