Brand Story

La Aurora was founded on October 3, 1903 by Eduardo León Jimenes, a hard-working son and grandson of tobacco farmers. Without neglecting his family tradition, he decided to use his knowledge to develop a brand of cigars with a global reach. At 18 years old, the founder inherited some "tareas" of land and began to realize his dream with a small number of six collaborators, great enthusiasm and a lot of effort. Today, more than 115 years later, La Aurora is a family business present on five continents, which employs more than a thousand people and which, under the leadership of his grandson Guillermo León Herbert, continues to cultivate the values ​​of La Aurora: Honesty, integrity, passion for excellence and good relationships with suppliers and collaborators.
