The brand was created in 1969 and, like Cohiba, remained an exclusive gift for diplomats and foreign dignitaries for many years. In 1998, the brand was commercialised. The Partagás Shorts offers all the typical flavours of Partagás in a small vitola. This cigar is very popular with experienced smokers and connoisseurs who want to smoke a complex, full-bodied cigar in a shorter space of time. The Shorts has an extremely rich aromatic profile: floral and warm tobacco scents float across the wrapper, the cold draw is distinctly spicy with cedar, while aromas of chocolate, nuts and vanilla join the bouquet during the smoke.Launched in 2004 and retired after eight years, this vitola left a lasting mark on cigar lovers. In 2024, Habanos S.A. revived it for the Trinidad brand’s 55th anniversary during the Habanos World Days in London. Presented in elegant boxes of three, the cigars feature three bands, including a commemorative anniversary band and the iconic “T” foot band. The medium-bodied Robusto Extra measures 6 1/8” by 50 ring gauge, with a signature pigtail cap. Hand-rolled with select Vuelta Abajo leaves, it preserves the classic, aromatic character of the original.
