Brand Story

Montecristo is, without a doubt, the most famous and universally loved brand of Habanos. The brand owes its name to the hero of the famous novel by Alexandre Dumas, “The Count of Montecristo”, reading which was highly appreciated by the torcedores (cigar rollers) of the factory in Havana, where the brand was created in 1935.
Initially, the Montecristo range was limited to five vitolas, simply designated by numbers, from 1 to 5. Over the years, and to better meet the desires of the most demanding amateurs, other modules were launched, from the majestic Montecristo A to the delicate little Joyitas and the magnificent 'Edmundo'. The particularly well-balanced Montecristo ligada (blend) is exclusively composed of leaves carefully selected and raised in the Vuelta Abajo region, land of the best tobaccos in the world. Its refined aromas and taste, very typical and quite powerful, will appeal to both newcomers and experienced enthusiasts.
