Montecristo is without doubt the most famous and universally appreciated brand of Habanos. The brand owes its name to the hero of Alexandre Dumas' famous novel, “The Count of Montecristo”, which was much appreciated by the torcedores (cigar rollers) at the factory in Havana, where the brand was created in 1935.

The Montecristo Open line differs from the other cigars in the Montecristo range in that it has a lighter aromatic strength that will satisfy both experienced cigar aficionados and those new to cigars. Montecristo Open cigars go particularly well with wines and spirits.

The particularly well-balanced Montecristo ligada (blend) is made exclusively from carefully selected leaves grown in the Vuelta Abajo region, home of the world's finest tobaccos.Trinidad is one of the most prestigious brands of Habanos. The brand was created in 1969 and, like Cohiba, remained an exclusive gift for diplomats and foreign dignitaries for many years. In 1998, the brand was commercialised. The Trinidad brand is aimed above all at Habanos lovers looking for absolute quality with an exclusive character.

The Open Regata is a little reminiscent of its big brother the Montecristo No. 2, but it is smoother and a little shorter.
Like all the cigars in the Open series, the Regata is ideal for beginners. The draw is perfect, and towards the end of the last third, the typical notes of the brand are revealed.Launched in 2004 and retired after eight years, this vitola left a lasting mark on cigar lovers. In 2024, Habanos S.A. revived it for the Trinidad brand’s 55th anniversary during the Habanos World Days in London. Presented in elegant boxes of three, the cigars feature three bands, including a commemorative anniversary band and the iconic “T” foot band. The medium-bodied Robusto Extra measures 6 1/8” by 50 ring gauge, with a signature pigtail cap. Hand-rolled with select Vuelta Abajo leaves, it preserves the classic, aromatic character of the original.
