Montecristo No. 4
Montecristo No. 4
Description
Brand Story
It was in Havana, in 1935, that Alonso Menendez, from a long line of merchants, founded the Montecristo brand in reference to Alexandre Dumas' hero. It seems that the torcedores particularly enjoyed having these adventures read to them while they worked. The Menendez family soon bought the Particulares factory, followed by the H.Upmann factory in 1937. Montecristo's success has never waned, the brand maintaining both tradition and modernity, with the launch of limited and relevant editions. In 2009, a range of milder, more modern cigars, called Open, was launched in Havana.
Product Detail
Along with the Partagas Serie D No. 4, the Montecristo No. 4 is undoubtedly the best-selling cigar in Cuba and a playground for many cigar beginners. The first third starts out quite intense, but with a pleasant lightness. The middle third is less harsh and allows you to catch your breath before the final third.
In fact, it can be smoked at any time of day and you should always have a few in your humidor.
