Mezcal Bozal Espadin Barril
Mezcal Bozal Espadin Barril
Description
Brand Story
Growing wild on the steep, unstable slopes of Oaxaca, Guerrero and Durango are agave varieties native to the region and in high demand by the local mezcaleros. These agave varieties produce exotic, intense aromas with rich, earthy tones and spicy, smoky flavors. We use artisanal methods to create a true mezcal style. Following a 200-year tradition, agave hearts are cooked in a pit oven and crushed with a wooden mallet. Crushed with a wooden mallet. Fermented in the open air without the addition of artificial barrels, it also ferments without the addition of artificial yeast sugar. Our mezcaleros are then distilled exclusively in clay pots, following the "ancestral" tradition of producing our mezcal.
