Trinidad is one of the most prestigious brands of Habanos. The brand was created in 1969 and, like Cohiba, remained an exclusive gift for diplomats and foreign dignitaries for many years. In 1998, the brand was commercialised. The Trinidad brand is aimed above all at Habanos lovers looking for absolute quality with an exclusive character.

Launched in 2004 and retired after eight years, this vitola left a lasting mark on cigar lovers. In 2024, Habanos S.A. revived it for the Trinidad brand’s 55th anniversary during the Habanos World Days in London. Presented in elegant boxes of three, the cigars feature three bands, including a commemorative anniversary band and the iconic “T” foot band. The medium-bodied Robusto Extra measures 6 1/8” by 50 ring gauge, with a signature pigtail cap. Hand-rolled with select Vuelta Abajo leaves, it preserves the classic, aromatic character of the original.

Description

Brand Story

La Paz cigars were first manufactured in 1880 in Holland at the factory of Theodorus Antonius Josephus Houtman. Known as a purveyor to the court, Theodorus’ factory made cigars for King William III. The company would change hands many times, remaining a popular manufacturer of corona style cigars.
These cigars were aesthetically rough, looking like a homemade hand rolled cigarillo, something akin to a cowboys cigar.
An open end with tobacco tapering outward makes the cigar light with no resistance. The looseness of the cigar also allows for an easy draw that provides a plentiful amount of smoke and as a result means these cigars are never a chore to smoke.

Product Detail

The medium-strength La Paz Wilde Cigarillos Brazil have a slightly sweet and spicy taste at the same time and harmonize perfectly with each other. Thanks to the tuft of tobacco at the end of the fire, the aromas can fully develop when lit. There is a certain spiciness towards the end, but it never becomes too sharp. The upturned cover sheet, as the name suggests, comes from Brazil. The tobaccos were harvested in Brazil, Indonesia and the Caribbean.
