Although Highland Park is an island distillery, it is part of the famous Highland whisky region. Highland Park 15 Year Old Viking Heart comes from one of Scotland's oldest distilleries - located in Orkney. The natural color and aromatic diversity of this single malt whisky comes from the exceptional sherry casks in which it is matured. Cinnamon and mild smokiness combine with flavors of vanilla, pineapple and lemon peel.

Tasting Notes

Nose : Touches of honey, brown sugar and a lovely fruitiness like pears, apples and pineapple and some sultanas. Finally a whiff of polished leather.

Palate : Sweet, honeyed arrival with a slightly creamy mouthfeel. The smoke is a little less subtle. Also notes of pink grapefruit, orange marmalade and hessian.

Finish : Lingering notes of tobacco, honey, dried grass and subtle peat. Medium in length.
