The Diplomatico distillery is located in Venezuela at the foot of the Andes and near the Terepaima National Park, a privileged place for rum production. The area offers excellent conditions for the cultivation of sugar cane and for rum production, with fertile soil, abundant water and tropical weather.The tradition of growing sugar cane in Venezuela dates back to the 15th century and rum has been produced here since 1896. This knowledge, coupled with the favorable climate and soil conditions, give local rum its unique and incomparable characteristics. This led to the creation of the "Venezuela Rum" designation of origin and the protected seal of quality. Diplomatico attaches great importance to traditional craftsmanship. This is the reason why the stills are made of copper. Some of this equipment and stills date back to the last century. Tradition and modern technology together with the experience of the master distillers make it possible to produce a wide variety of premium rums with different flavors.

Product Detail

This is indeed a new product from the Diplomatico brand. The Single Vintage 2007 vintage is a vintage, the result of a blend inspired by different vintages aged for 12 years in Bourbon and whiskey barrels. Particular care was taken in its maturation, since a finish in Oloroso sherry barrels gave it additional depth and complexity. Chocolate, tobacco, vanilla and ripe fruit are some of the flavors that you will recognize when tasting this age-old rum that does honor to the brand.
