The famous Cohiba brand, which appeared in 1966, is one of the few labels to have emerged after the Cuban revolution. In 1963, Fidel Castro tasted a cigar made by the torcedor Eduardo Riveira. From then on, Riveira's cigars were used exclusively by the Commandante and his friends, including Ernesto 'Che' Guevara, who was a great fan of the Liga. From 1967, the brand expanded and developed new modules, but it was not marketed worldwide until 1982. Uniquely amongst Habanos up to three of filler leaves , the seco, ligero and the rare medio tiempo, undergo an additional fermentation. This unique process produces a special aroma and flavour you will only find in Cohiba.Trinidad is one of the most prestigious brands of Habanos. The brand was created in 1969 and, like Cohiba, remained an exclusive gift for diplomats and foreign dignitaries for many years. In 1998, the brand was commercialised.
