The first lighter Colibri was produced in 1928, but the company's founder, Julius Lowenthal, had been immersed in the world of lighters practically since their inception, having started out in a firm specializing in "smokers' articles" in 1910, at just 18 years of age.

The Colibri Falcon is a handy cigar lighter with flame. The surface has a carbon fiber look that gives the lighter a special appearance. The jet flame is angled to make it easier to light cigars. The design of the lighter enables it to be reliably lit at altitudes of up to 3000 meters. The gas content can be read through a window on the side of the lighter.
