Brand Story
Cohiba is the flagship brand of Havana cigars. Created in 1966 for Fidel Castro himself, Cohiba cigars were manufactured in the greatest secrecy at the time, and are now produced in the world-famous El Laguito factory. Originally, Cohiba cigars were only available outside Cuba as gifts for visiting heads of state and diplomats. The leaves destined for the Cohiba brand are the "crème de la crème" of the five Vegas Finas de Primera; the best plantations in the San Juan y Martinez and San Luis regions. These two sites are both located in the Vuelta Abajo tobacco production zone par excellence. The "1492" line was created to celebrate each of the centuries that have passed since Christopher Columbus discovered Cuba in 1492.
Product Detail
This Siglo 3 is a very elegant vitola with a chocolate colored wrapper. From the very first puff, the woody, spicy tones familiar to Cohiba are evident. The draw is good, giving a full smoke with notes of leather, cocoa and hazelnut. Everything is coherent and sincere in this well-balanced and fairly powerful smoke.
