Brand Story

Cohiba is the flagship brand of Havana cigars. Created in 1966 for Fidel Castro himself, Cohiba cigars were manufactured in the greatest secrecy at the time, and are now produced in the world-famous El Laguito factory. Originally, Cohiba cigars were only available outside Cuba as gifts for visiting heads of state and diplomats. The leaves destined for the Cohiba brand are the "crème de la crème" of the five Vegas Finas de Primera; the best plantations in the San Juan y Martinez and San Luis regions. These two sites are both located in the Vuelta Abajo tobacco production zone par excellence. The "1492" line was created to celebrate each of the centuries that have passed since Christopher Columbus discovered Cuba in 1492.Trinidad is one of the most prestigious brands of Habanos. The brand was created in 1969 and, like Cohiba, remained an exclusive gift for diplomats and foreign dignitaries for many years. In 1998, the brand was commercialised. The Trinidad brand is aimed above all at Habanos lovers looking for absolute quality with an exclusive character.

Description

Though this Mareva format looks those of its kind it has its own character. With greater lightness, freshness and richness of flavours this will definately tempt the nature of those who find Cohibas too strong. One of the best things about Siglo II is the lack of harshness in the final third. It remains beautifully balanced and smokable right to the end, without any bitterness. It's a cigar that most people smoke right to the end.Launched in 2004 and retired after eight years, this vitola left a lasting mark on cigar lovers. In 2024, Habanos S.A. revived it for the Trinidad brand’s 55th anniversary during the Habanos World Days in London. Presented in elegant boxes of three, the cigars feature three bands, including a commemorative anniversary band and the iconic “T” foot band. The medium-bodied Robusto Extra measures 6 1/8” by 50 ring gauge, with a signature pigtail cap. Hand-rolled with select Vuelta Abajo leaves, it preserves the classic, aromatic character of the original.
