In 2012, Avion Tequila was named "World's Best Tasting Tequila" and "World's Best White Spirit" at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition. This luxury tequila is distributed in Germany by Pernod Ricard. Everything about this brand is just right, the high quality presentation and the range consisting of Tequila Reposando, Tequila Silver and the long aging Avion Anejo Tequila, a tequila from one of the most successful tequila producers, which has now won almost every international competition. This Avion Reserva 44 Extra Anejo Tequila comes from Jesus Maria, Mexico and is made from hand-harvested Avion agave that is roasted in a brick oven for 72 hours. After filtering the agave, the tequila is stored in traditional oak barrels for 43 months. During the last month (day 44), it matures in smaller oak barrels that are rotated daily. The distillery then bottles 40% of its volume in unique 0.75 liter bottles. Each bottle is hand-numbered and signed by founder Ken Austin. Avión Reserva 44 is handcrafted in limited batches. This Extra-Anejo tequila is aged for at least 36 months in old bourbon barrels. Delicate and complex, the real adventure lies in discovering its 44 extraordinarily rich aromatic notes, a never-ending exploration of flavors, sip after sip.
