Trinidad is one of the most prestigious brands of Habanos. The brand was created in 1969 and, like Cohiba, remained an exclusive gift for diplomats and foreign dignitaries for many years. In 1998, the brand was commercialised. The Trinidad brand is aimed above all at Habanos lovers looking for absolute quality with an exclusive character.
Launched in 2004 and retired after eight years, this vitola left a lasting mark on cigar lovers. In 2024, Habanos S.A. revived it for the Trinidad brand’s 55th anniversary during the Habanos World Days in London. Presented in elegant boxes of three, the cigars feature three bands, including a commemorative anniversary band and the iconic “T” foot band. The medium-bodied Robusto Extra measures 6 1/8” by 50 ring gauge, with a signature pigtail cap. Hand-rolled with select Vuelta Abajo leaves, it preserves the classic, aromatic character of the original.

The molasses first undergoes a very long, wild, natural fermentation before distillation in a copper pot still with double retort.

Distilled from molasses in 2012 and aged for 5 years in a tropical climate (equivalent to 15 years in a continental climate), then a further 3 years in a continental climate in old Bourbon casks. This rum has an alcohol content of 58.4%. It contains the very essence of Jamaica in each of the 261 bottles produced. Savour the exquisite blend of mango, pineapple and vanilla aromas, which transition seamlessly into an intense, woody palette with a hint of roasted notes. Tasting Notes
This rum is surprisingly complex. Intense nose of ripe fruit (banana, mango), sweet spices, caramelized apples and a touch of smoke. The palate is lively and spicy, with hints of molasses and ripe exotic fruit. The finish is explosive: what a great rum!
