Montecristo is without doubt the most famous and universally appreciated brand of Habanos. The brand owes its name to the hero of Alexandre Dumas' famous novel, 'The Count of Montecristo', which was much appreciated by the torcedores (cigar rollers) at the factory in Havana, where the brand was created in 1935.
