The new Vigía vitola was presented during the XVI Habanos Festival 2014. This Vitola de Galera Torres has a ring gauge of 54 and a length of 110mm. Both the Vitola de Galera Torres and the Vitola de Salida Vigía convey our idea of Trinidad and the area on the edge of the Valle de los Ingenios, on the south coast of Cuba. Imposing watchtowers, erected to watch over the sugar cane plantations, characterise the farmland and make us dream of the beautiful landscape.Launched in 2004 and retired after eight years, this vitola left a lasting mark on cigar lovers. In 2024, Habanos S.A. revived it for the Trinidad brand’s 55th anniversary during the Habanos World Days in London. Presented in elegant boxes of three, the cigars feature three bands, including a commemorative anniversary band and the iconic “T” foot band. The medium-bodied Robusto Extra measures 6 1/8” by 50 ring gauge, with a signature pigtail cap. Hand-rolled with select Vuelta Abajo leaves, it preserves the classic, aromatic character of the original.
