Description
Brand Story
San Cristóbal de la Habana was the first name given to Havana, when it was founded in 1519. Both in honour of Christopher Columbus (hence San Cristobal) and in reference to the name the Indians gave to the site (La Habana).
The San Cristóbal de la Habana brand was launched in 1999, at the dawn of the new millennium, as a tribute to the long history of the Cuban capital. All the brand's vitolas are hand-crafted with long guts.
Product Detail
The San Cristobal de la Habana La Punta cigar is named after the fortress "Castillo de San Salvador de la Punta," which is the outermost fortification at the entrance of Havana's harbor. It was built in 1559 to protect Havana from pirate attacks. The La Punta is a beautifully spicy, well-balanced cigar. The tobacco is intense, with notes of nuts, almonds, earth, and wood. The smoke is complemented by a pleasant bitterness.
