Quai d'Orsay is a brand designed specifically for the French market. Created in the 1970s, it takes its name from the famous quays along the Seine in Paris. All its vitolas, which are designed to be light, are made from a combination of leaves from the Vuelta Abajo region and dressed in Claro (wax) or Colorado Claro (light brown) capes. All are Totalmento a Mano, Trip Larga (entirely handmade, long filler).

The Quai d'Orsay Corona was available in two versions, Coronas Claro and Coronas Claro Claro. The name behind ‘Coronas’ refers to the colour of the packaging, which in the first case means Colorado Claro (chestnut brown) and in the second case ‘Clarissimo’, which means almost green. However, the second version has disappeared over time. The Quai d'Orsay Corona Claro pampers smokers with pleasant cocoa flavours, combined with woody notes and earthy tones. It is exceptionally mild for a Cuban cigar, making it ideal for beginners.

The tragedy of the lovers of Verona, written by William Shakespeare, was to inspire the name, Romeo y Julieta, of this brand of Habanos created in 1875. Over the years, the brand has established itself as one of the best-known and best-loved Habanos. This reputation is largely due to the legendary "Churchill" vitola. Winston Churchill was one of Romeo y Julieta's most ardent devotees. During his visit to Havana in 1946, his name was not only the subject of a commemorative ring, but was also attributed to one of the brand's most famous models, the Churchill.

The XXV Festival del Habano began with a spectacular opening night. The event celebrated the 150th anniversary of Romeo y Julieta. The exclusive Salón de Protocolo Cubanacán hosted 1,200 guests. Distributors, experts and enthusiasts from all over the world were in attendance. The theme of the evening was Venice, with a romantic atmosphere. The colour red dominated, reflecting the passion of the brand. The new Amantes vitola has a ring gauge of 53 and a length of 153 mm. It was specially designed for the 150th anniversary. The vitola combines tradition with excellent craftsmanship. It offers medium strength and the classic Romeo y Julieta aroma. It is ideal for experienced aficionados and newcomers alike. Vice President Jorge Pérez Martel presented two formats: the elegant box of 20 is ideal for collectors and enthusiasts, and an exclusive gift box of 5 was offered in advance to festival guests.
