1840 would be the first known date of the Punch brand, registered by a German named Stockmann. Manuel Lopez Fernandez became the owner in 1884 and took the cigar up the first steps of the modern era. From 1898 to 1922, thanks to Manuel's inventive and energetic management, the brand reached its peak. In 1930, Punch became part of the Fernandez Palacio Group. Along with Belinda, La Esception and Hoyo de Monterrey, Punch was manufactured in the Rayo Street factory until the advent of the revolution.Trinidad is one of the most prestigious brands of Habanos. The brand was created in 1969 and, like Cohiba, remained an exclusive gift for diplomats and foreign dignitaries for many years. In 1998, the brand was commercialised. Habanos S.A. presents Punch Princesas, a new Limited Edition created to commemorate the 185th anniversary of the Punch brand.

Punch celebrates this milestone with the launch of Punch Princesas Edición Limitada 2025, introducing a new vitola that revives a popular format from the 1960s.

Punch Princesas, presented in the Edmundo format (52 x 135 mm), offers a balanced blend of medium-strength tobaccos. It is housed in a classic 1960s-style box, carefully reinterpreted for today’s discerning connoisseurs.

Each Habano is entirely handmade with long filler, aged for a minimum of two years, and crafted using wrapper, binder, and filler leaves meticulously selected from the renowned Vuelta Abajo region in the Cuban province of Pinar del Río.

This release celebrates the 185-year legacy of Punch, one of Cuba’s oldest Habano brands, and marks the beginning of a new “royal” chapter in its history. First introduced in 1840 and originally developed for the British market, Punch has preserved its distinctive character throughout its evolution from its early association with the iconic Punch & Judy emblem to its status as one of the world’s most prestigious Habano brands.

The Limited Edition 2025 is presented in an exclusive 20-count box, specially designed to honor Punch’s 185th anniversary and pay a well-deserved tribute to its enduring heritage.Launched in 2004 and retired after eight years, this vitola left a lasting mark on cigar lovers. In 2024, Habanos S.A. revived it for the Trinidad brand’s 55th anniversary during the Habanos World Days in London. Presented in elegant boxes of three, the cigars feature three bands, including a commemorative anniversary band and the iconic “T” foot band. The medium-bodied Robusto Extra measures 6 1/8” by 50 ring gauge, with a signature pigtail cap. Hand-rolled with select Vuelta Abajo leaves, it preserves the classic, aromatic character of the original.
