Brand Story

Born in Cuba in 1950, third-generation master blender Jose "Pepin" Garcia rolled his first cigar at age 11, sparking a lifelong passion for premium tobacco. After becoming a renowned master roller in Cuba, he moved to Miami in 2003 and founded El Rey de los Habanos with his children, Jaime and Janny. Drawing on his experience with the Tatuaje, San Cristobal, and La Aroma de Cuba brands, he also launched his own label, Don Pepin Garcia.

In 2008, Jaime Garcia created the My Father blend, an instant success. In 2009, the family moved production to a state-of-the-art factory in Estelí, Nicaragua, named My Father Cigars S.A. In Miami, a skilled team handles rolling, quality control, and distribution.

Today, My Father Cigars is one of the most acclaimed brands in the premium cigar industry, boasting numerous 92-plus ratings and two "Cigar of the Year" awards a rare achievement.

Since the introduction of the My Father brand in 2008, two additional blends have been created to amazing consumer and industry success. Eight years later, the time has come to unveil the next vision in the My Father line; inspired by a friend of the Garcia Family, we proudly present “My Father MF The Judge”. Cloaked in a gorgeous dark brown Sumatra Oscuro wrapper, who’s subtle sweetness hides an inner strength, this full bodied blend is rounded out by three different Nicaraguan fillers, all grown on the Garcia’s farms as well as Corojo and Criollo binders. Offered in 3 box pressed sizes; a 6×56 Toro, a 5×60 Grand Robusto and 6×52 Toro Fino, plus the 5 5/8×46 Corona Gorda that are packaged in elegant 23 count boxes, echoing the original My Father line with a unique and distinctive label recreated from an antique 1905 Victorian lithograph.
