Brand Story 

José L. Piedra is a very special brand. Unlike most Habanos, the leaves used to make its vitolas come exclusively from the Vuelta Arriba region.

Originally from Asturias, the Piedra family arrived in Cuba in the 1880s. They settled down and started producing cigars near the town of Santa Clara, in the heart of the Vuelta Arriba region, where tobacco growing had been going on since the 16th century.
It was José Lamadrid Piedra, of the second Piedra generation, who was to create and develop the brand as we know it today.

The José L. Piedra vitolas are all made totally by hand, tripa corta.

Product Detail 

Medium-bodied, this Habanos concentrates all the aromas and flavours of Remedios D.O.P., where the tobacco is grown to produce the brand's exclusive Habanos, in just over 20 minutes of smoke. Amid the woody, earthy aromas, you'll also recognise notes of pepper and roasted coffee in this little vitola. The result is a perceptible sweetness that also comes across as creamy.
