Quai d'Orsay is a brand designed specifically for the French market. Created in the 1970s, it takes its name from the famous quays along the Seine in Paris. All its vitolas, which are designed to be light, are made from a combination of leaves from the Vuelta Abajo region and dressed in Claro (wax) or Colorado Claro (light brown) capes. All are Totalmento a Mano, Trip Larga (entirely handmade, long filler).

The Quai d'Orsay Corona was available in two versions, Coronas Claro and Coronas Claro Claro. The name behind ‘Coronas’ refers to the colour of the packaging, which in the first case means Colorado Claro (chestnut brown) and in the second case ‘Clarissimo’, which means almost green. However, the second version has disappeared over time. The Quai d'Orsay Corona Claro pampers smokers with pleasant cocoa flavours, combined with woody notes and earthy tones. It is exceptionally mild for a Cuban cigar, making it ideal for beginners.

A good humidor has to be breathable and has three sides at its core solid layers of wood processed together, which ensure stability and warping of the wood. All three are several millimeters thick and complement each other in softness, stability, breathability and scent.
Instruction For Use
The relative humidity in your humidor should always be between 69% and 72%. In this area the cigars feel comfortable and can continue to mature. This means you can store the good pieces for months, if not years, and they will be even better, smoother and more elegant to smoke.
If the air becomes too dry, the essential oils evaporate and they do not come back. The cigars are de facto damaged, so even a few hours are enough . A high quality hygrometer is recommended for measuring humidity, this has a maximum deviation of +/- 3%.
The humidifier should be refilled around every four weeks. Please note that a lot of water is required in winter as the heating is on and it is very dry. Please do not use tap water, this will clog up your system! You can get distilled water at the drugstore or specialist retailer. Some systems work with special fluids that don't cost the earth either.
