Brand Story
The Mayans already knew where to find the best climatic conditions and, thousands of years ago, grew tobacco in the Santa Rosa De Copán region, a hilly area with a cool climate in Honduras, close to the borders of Guatemala and El Salvador. It is here that the award-winning Flor De Copán cigars are hand-rolled. The brand's success story has been written since the launch of Flor De Copán, and remains unique in its genre, a brand that has captured the spirit of the times and stands out for its excellent value for money. So it's hardly surprising that the brand has won several awards in the past. All formats, with the exception of the Gordito, are wrapped in a cedar leaf, which transmits its fragrance to the cigars and gives them a distinctive, inimitable aroma.Trinidad is one of the most prestigious brands of Habanos. The brand was created in 1969 and, like Cohiba, remained an exclusive gift for diplomats and foreign dignitaries for many years. In 1998, the brand was commercialised. The Trinidad brand is aimed above all at Habanos lovers looking for absolute quality with an exclusive character.
Description
Description
Flor de Copán presents 1795, a special edition created in honor of the 230th anniversary of the founding of the Royal Tobacco Factory of Copán.
In 1765, the Spanish Crown issued a royal decree for the creation of a factory in Santa Rosa de los Llanos today known as Santa Rosa de Copán, where the brand’s factory is located which would set prices, control seed distribution and, more broadly, regulate everything related to tobacco. Thus, in 1795, the Royal Tobacco Factory of Copán was inaugurated. Since then, a tradition rooted in pre-Columbian culture has developed in the region and continues to be preserved to this day.
Handmade at La Flor de Copán, the 1795 stands out for its elegant 42 ring gauge and 157 mm length. The blend was created by the Grupo de Maestros and combines selected tobacco leaves from Honduras, Nicaragua and Ecuador, offering a unique smoking experience. Its toasted and woody aromas, with notes of dried fruits and spicy undertones, make the Flor de Copán 1795 a cigar that perfectly reflects the centuries-old tobacco tradition of Santa Rosa de Copán.Launched in 2004 and retired after eight years, this vitola left a lasting mark on cigar lovers. In 2024, Habanos S.A. revived it for the Trinidad brand’s 55th anniversary during the Habanos World Days in London. Presented in elegant boxes of three, the cigars feature three bands, including a commemorative anniversary band and the iconic “T” foot band. The medium-bodied Robusto Extra measures 6 1/8” by 50 ring gauge, with a signature pigtail cap. Hand-rolled with select Vuelta Abajo leaves, it preserves the classic, aromatic character of the original.
