Cohiba is the flagship brand of Havana cigars. Created in 1966 for Fidel Castro himself, Cohiba cigars were manufactured in the greatest secrecy at the time, and are now produced in the world-famous El Laguito factory. Originally, Cohiba cigars were only available outside Cuba as gifts for visiting heads of state and diplomats. Since 1982, the brand has been available on the world market.

The leaves destined for the Cohiba brand are the "crème de la crème" of the five Vegas Finas de Primera; the best plantations in the San Juan y Martinez and San Luis regions. These two sites are both located in the Vuelta Abajo tobacco production zone par excellence. A unique process for Havanas, two leaves of the tripe (seco and ligero) undergo a third fermentation in casks, which adds a certain sweetness to the tobacco aroma.Trinidad is one of the most prestigious brands of Habanos. The brand was created in 1969 and, like Cohiba, remained an exclusive gift for diplomats and foreign dignitaries for many years. In 1998, the brand was commercialised. The Maduro 5 is the latest creation in the Cohiba series, which consists of 3 different formats: the Genios, the Magicos and the Secretos. The 3 formats are designed to evoke the fundamental values of Cuban cigars: the Genios represents those who have mastered the art of cigar making, the Magicos is designed to remind us of the touch of magic that surrounds Cuban cigars, and the Secretos is designed to remind us of the secrets of tobacco growing in Cuba.

All Cohiba Maduro variants are covered with a wrapper leaf that has matured for five years and is of the highest quality. The variety of flavors in Cohiba Maduro Genios is slightly peppery and stronger than typical Cohiba cigars.Launched in 2004 and retired after eight years, this vitola left a lasting mark on cigar lovers. In 2024, Habanos S.A. revived it for the Trinidad brand’s 55th anniversary during the Habanos World Days in London. Presented in elegant boxes of three, the cigars feature three bands, including a commemorative anniversary band and the iconic “T” foot band. The medium-bodied Robusto Extra measures 6 1/8” by 50 ring gauge, with a signature pigtail cap. Hand-rolled with select Vuelta Abajo leaves, it preserves the classic, aromatic character of the original.
