Brand Story
Cohiba is the flagship brand of Havana cigars. Created in 1966 for Fidel Castro himself, Cohiba cigars were manufactured in the greatest secrecy at the time, and are now produced in the world-famous El Laguito factory. Originally, Cohiba cigars were only available outside Cuba as gifts for visiting heads of state and diplomats. Since 1982, the brand has been available on the world market. The leaves destined for the Cohiba brand are the "crème de la crème" of the five Vegas Finas de Primera; the best plantations in the San Juan y Martinez and San Luis regions. These two sites are both located in the Vuelta Abajo tobacco production zone par excellence. A unique process for Havanas, two leaves of the tripe (seco and ligero) undergo a third fermentation in casks, which adds a certain sweetness to the tobacco aroma.
Product Detail
The Cohiba Espléndidos Gran Reserva Cosecha 2017 is a special edition of the renowned Espléndidos.
Although this cigar shares the same dimensions as the classic Espléndidos, it stands out thanks to its exclusive tobacco, harvested in 2017 and aged for five years before being rolled.
In terms of flavor, this cigar offers a rich aromatic experience, with woody and earthy notes blended with spicy and creamy touches.
Like other Gran Reserva editions, it features a gold secondary band with the initials “GR” and is packaged in beautiful 15-cigar lacquered boxes.
Produced in Cuba, the Cohiba Espléndidos Gran Reserva is made from a carefully selected blend of leaves. The wrapper comes from the Vuelta Abajo region, famous for its exceptionally high-quality tobacco plantations. The binder and filler are also sourced from this region, ensuring remarkable complexity and depth in every puff.
