Cohiba is the flagship brand of Havana cigars. Created in 1966 for Fidel Castro himself, Cohiba cigars were manufactured in the greatest secrecy at the time, and are now produced in the world-famous El Laguito factory. Originally, Cohiba cigars were only available outside Cuba as gifts for visiting heads of state and diplomats. Since 1982, the brand has been available on the world market.

The leaves destined for the Cohiba brand are the "crème de la crème" of the five Vegas Finas de Primera; the best plantations in the San Juan y Martinez and San Luis regions. These two sites are both located in the Vuelta Abajo tobacco production zone par excellence. A unique process for Havanas, two leaves of the tripe (seco and ligero) undergo a third fermentation in casks, which adds a certain sweetness to the tobacco's aroma.Trinidad is one of the most prestigious brands of Habanos. The brand was created in 1969 and, like Cohiba, remained an exclusive gift for diplomats and foreign dignitaries for many years. In 1998, the brand was commercialised. The Trinidad brand is aimed above all at Habanos lovers looking for absolute quality with an exclusive character.

To celebrate Cohiba's 55th anniversary, Habanos SA has introduced several new formats of the flagship Habanos brand. One of these is the Cohiba 55 Aniversario from Edicìon Limitada 2021. With an impressive ring size of 57, this 150 mm format now spoils Habanos lovers with complex, full-bodied flavours for a short time.

The production name of the 55 Aniversario is 'Victoria', which means 'victory', and it has been specially designed for this limited edition. Like the legendary 'Lancero' format of the Cohiba Línea Clásica or the three formats in the super-premium Behike line, it features the characteristic little braid on the mouthpiece.Launched in 2004 and retired after eight years, this vitola left a lasting mark on cigar lovers. In 2024, Habanos S.A. revived it for the Trinidad brand’s 55th anniversary during the Habanos World Days in London. Presented in elegant boxes of three, the cigars feature three bands, including a commemorative anniversary band and the iconic “T” foot band. The medium-bodied Robusto Extra measures 6 1/8” by 50 ring gauge, with a signature pigtail cap. Hand-rolled with select Vuelta Abajo leaves, it preserves the classic, aromatic character of the original.
