It brings together the island’s best master blenders, true guardians of a unique and ancestral know-how, who passionately oversee the aging cellars where the oldest and noblest bases of Cuban rum rest in majestic American white oak barrels. Entirely natural and made from molasses derived from sugarcane grown in Cuba, Cubay rums express the full richness of Cuban terroirs. Everything about Ron Cubay 1870 Extra Añejo evokes Cuba  a rum that captures the magic of blending matured eaux-de-vie and aged rums, enriched with the strength and complexity of the original molasses flavors. The quality that sets Cubay rum apart is rooted in the traditional methods of the Cuban Maestro Ronero. This is how this rum is born, its harmony the result of a long 18-year maturation in oak barrels carefully selected by the Master Blender.

Tasting Notes

Tobacco and salted peanuts, with charred oak underneath. Dense notes of prune and passion fruit grow at the centre. A good kick of cinnamon gives it some pep, while continued vanilla elements keep it enjoyably sweet and rich.
