For the purposes of this Privacy Policy, the terms “you” and “your” refer to any individual using the Services, including customers, website visitors, or any other persons whose data is collected in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

We invite you to carefully read this Privacy Policy as well as these Terms and Conditions of Sale before using the Site or placing any order.

By accessing the Site and confirming an order, the buyer acknowledges that they have read, understood, and unconditionally accepted these Terms and Conditions of Sale.

Cigar VIU reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to interpret, apply, and modify these Terms and Conditions of Sale at any time, without prior notice, within the limits of applicable law.

Authenticity, Traceability and Product Warranty

Products covered by a warranty are subject to the conditions applicable at the time of purchase. The warranty takes effect from the delivery date shown on the corresponding invoice, which the customer is advised to keep carefully.

We source our products exclusively from officially accredited importers recognized by the respective brands, thereby guaranteeing the authenticity and high-end quality of all cigars offered for sale. Regarding Cuban cigars, we work exclusively with Intertabak AG, the sole official importer of Habanos in Switzerland since 1995.

Each cigar box is carefully inspected prior to shipment and accompanied by a Boveda humidity control system to maintain optimal storage conditions during transport and ensure impeccable quality upon delivery.

We are not responsible for any damage that may occur during transport.

The products offered on the Site comply with applicable Swiss legislation. The customer remains solely responsible for verifying that the import, possession, and use of the ordered products are permitted in the destination country.

Cigar VIU declines any responsibility in the event of non-compliance with local regulations applicable in the destination country.

Prices

All prices displayed on the Site are stated in Swiss Francs (CHF) and include applicable Swiss VAT unless otherwise stated.

Shipping costs, customs duties, import taxes, excise duties, and any additional administrative fees are not included in the displayed prices unless expressly indicated.

Prices may be changed at any time without prior notice. However, the applicable price is the one displayed on the Site at the time the order is confirmed by the customer.

Order Conditions

Before confirming an order, the customer must ensure that all information provided is accurate and complete, including name, billing address, shipping address, telephone number, and email address.

By confirming the order, the customer fully accepts these Terms and Conditions of Sale. The sales contract becomes legally binding upon electronic confirmation of the order.

An order confirmation email summarizing the invoiced amount and delivery details will be sent to the customer. Once the order has been shipped, a second email containing a tracking number will be provided.

Once the order has been handed over to the carrier, it becomes the property of the customer.

Accepted Payment Methods

Payments are processed securely via the Shopify platform.

We accept major credit and debit cards, including Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, PostFinance, UnionPay, and other payment methods offered during checkout.

TWINT payments are also accepted.

All transactions made on lacasadelhabano-geneve.com are encrypted and processed through secure payment providers.

Credit cards are charged immediately upon order confirmation.

Product Availability

All orders are subject to product availability.

If a product becomes unavailable after order confirmation, the customer will be informed as soon as possible and may choose to cancel the affected item or the entire order.

Cigar VIU shall not be held liable for delays, stock shortages, or unavailability caused by suppliers, manufacturers, or official importers.

In the event of stock shortages, we reserve the right to adjust packaging while maintaining equivalent quantity and value. For example, a box of 20 cigars may be replaced by two boxes of 10 cigars. The customer will be informed of any such changes where applicable.
