The tragedy of the lovers of Verona, written by William Shakespeare, was to inspire the name, Romeo y Julieta, of this brand of Habanos created in 1875. Over the years, the brand has established itself as one of the best-known and best-loved Habanos. This reputation is largely due to the legendary "Churchill" vitola. Winston Churchill was one of Romeo y Julieta's most ardent devotees. During his visit to Havana in 1946, his name was not only the subject of a commemorative ring, but was also attributed to one of the brand's most famous models, the Churchill.

The Romeo y Julieta Linea de Oro Dianas is one of three new cigars added to this famous brand's regular production portfolio in 2020. 

This Cuban cigar is presented in a brand-new module, Dianas, measuring 52 ring gauge and 145 mm. Unlike the rest of the Romeo y Julieta game, the Ligne d'or offers a medium to full-strength smoke.

The Ligne d'or was announced at the XXII Festival del Habano in 2020 and immediately became sought-after by aficionados the world over. Each cigar is dressed with a special ring bearing the name of the vitola and a second gold ring to protect the foot. The high-end presentation continues in the exquisite red and gold boxes, crafted from sycamore and finished in high-gloss lacquer. Each box will hold 20 cigars.
