Quai d'Orsay is a brand designed specifically for the French market. Created in the 1970s, it takes its name from the famous quays along the Seine in Paris. All its vitolas, which are designed to be light, are made from a combination of leaves from the Vuelta Abajo region and dressed in Claro (wax) or Colorado Claro (light brown) capes. All are Totalmento a Mano, Trip Larga (entirely handmade, long filler).

The Quai d'Orsay Corona was available in two versions, Coronas Claro and Coronas Claro Claro. The name behind ‘Coronas’ refers to the colour of the packaging, which in the first case means Colorado Claro (chestnut brown) and in the second case ‘Clarissimo’, which means almost green. However, the second version has disappeared over time. The Quai d'Orsay Corona Claro pampers smokers with pleasant cocoa flavours, combined with woody notes and earthy tones. It is exceptionally mild for a Cuban cigar, making it ideal for beginners.

Brand Story
It's no coincidence that the brand was launched in the UK in November 1996. Cuaba was officially born out of a gamble by the directors of Habanos SA to revive the fashion for figurados, which were very popular with the British in the 19th century. Juan Carlos Izqierdo Gonzalez, who was a torcedor for forty-eight years at Romeo y Julieta, was entrusted with the task of training the first professionals in this very special technique. Today, the Romeo y Julieta factory has a special school dedicated to training torcedores for the Cuaba.
Product Detail
Despite its tapered, arched base, this curvaceous figurado fires and burns evenly. Its roasted, nutty character is layered with notes of leather, ground pepper, graham crackers and hazelnut, all leading to a honeyed finish.
