This cigar is the longest of the three newcomers (Topes, Media Luna, Esmeralada) and also bears the famous pig's tail. The intense flavour experience, which is characterised by notes of earth, wood and coffee, is due to the brand's special blend of tobacco. This tobacco is grown and processed entirely by hand in Vuelta Abajo in Cuba, the best growing region in the world.Launched in 2004 and retired after eight years, this vitola left a lasting mark on cigar lovers. In 2024, Habanos S.A. revived it for the Trinidad brand’s 55th anniversary during the Habanos World Days in London. Presented in elegant boxes of three, the cigars feature three bands, including a commemorative anniversary band and the iconic “T” foot band. The medium-bodied Robusto Extra measures 6 1/8” by 50 ring gauge, with a signature pigtail cap. Hand-rolled with select Vuelta Abajo leaves, it preserves the classic, aromatic character of the original.
