Habanos S.A. announced the Romeo y Julieta Short Churchill Reserva Cosecha 2019 as the 2024 Cigar of the Year for the company's Gran Reserva\/Reserva series. Like other Gran Reserva and Reserva releases, it is a special, aged version of a regular production cigar. This cigar has a vitola of Ø50 and 124 mm. Tobacco from the 2019 harvest and from the Vuelta Abajo region in Pinar del Río was used for this edition. The tobacco is aged for three years and the cigars themselves are aged much longer than most Habanos. Each year, Habanos S.A. selects a single cigar from the regular production of one of its major\u003cbr\u003ebrands, which is designated as a Gran Reserva or Reserva.
